Can't find AppleTV on Xcode

Hi,


I'm trying to build my AppleTV project, but when I open Xcode and go to Window > Devices and Simulators I cannot find my Apple TV 4K. Here is what I tried:


  1. We are in the same wireless network.
  2. I'm using the latest version of tvOS and the latest version of Xcode.
  3. When I try to pair with my AppleTV, I am in the menu "Remote App and Devices".
  4. I can send pings to my AppleTV address through the terminal just fine.
  5. The port 62078 is open on my AppleTV.
  6. I can connect to my AppleTV just fine using Quicktime or through AirPlay. It seems that only Xcode cannot find my AppleTV.


In the past (around 1 year ago) I used to find my AppleTV in the list of devices just fine on Xcode, but somehow this stopped working and I have no idea why.


Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I saw several threads here about the same issue but none of the solutions presented in them seem to solve my problem.

Any work around regarding this problem. Even am facing the same issue for Xcode 11.5

Having the same problem now since the apple tv 4k update last week. I can't connect in xcode.

I had the same issues. Even tried over tethering wifi. Check that your Xcode version supports your tvOS version.

You can check versions in xcodereleases.com
