SIM Failure

iOS 13, Beta 5. iPhone XS. AT&T Carrier using eSIM. My "front SIM" is empty (used for travel).

A couple times last week I saw the "No SIM" message pop up for a few seconds but just as fast, it went away.

Yesterday, I noticed I had no signal. The usual tricks of airplane mode did not work. I rebooted the phone and then it was fine.

...for about 10 minutes and then it lost signal again. I repeated the same steps that had worked before. I rebooted the phone and then it was fine.

...for about a minute and then it lost signal again. This time I got a pop-up message saying "SIM Failure". Then I started getting "No SIM Card Installed". I did not see any other mention of "SIM Failure" in this forum which surprised me.

Called Apple. Of course it's beta, so first step is to remove beta. Rolled back to 12.4. Now ESIM is gone. Have to go get a new SIM.

Because of the way this came on, I'm wondering if it could represent a hardware issue instead of a Beta issue. Has anyone else experienced this kind of failure?

I'm on my way to AT&T store to get a new QR Code. AT&T could not figure out how to get the code to me electronically.

I’ve had the same problem today! I’m on a iPhone 7 running on iOS 13 beta. I had the “No Sim” and “No Sim Installed” appear and I restarted my device and it worked perfectly fine. I’ll be getting iOS 13 beta removed since I’ve had a lot crashes and bugs.

Physical sim worked after a couple of missteps including getting the EMEI number right. Back online with Physical sim. Net step is to try esim again. AT&T store was not able to figure it out but the Apple Store did -- only after reverting to 12.4 and wiping settings.

Yeah this happens every time I use any iOS beta since the X. It HAS to be a beta issue of some sort. Slowly fries your sim hardware I guess. I just downgrade and have Apple give me a new phone.
