I updated my Watch (series 4) yesterday and things seem to be fine. This morning I reset the watch and tried to install as a new watch. I no longer have any apps on the watch (e.g. Calendar, Reminders, Maps, Alarms, etc). I've tried installing as new a few times and restoring from backup. No dice. I can see a few of them in the App store, but I can't download them. Any ideas?
Update: I noticed that the profile was removed. Once I reloaded it and restarted the watch, most of the apps were available. This was after I restored from a backup. I still can't get to Alarms, Calendar, Mail, Noise, Now Playing and Stopwatch.
Installing the profile after trying to set the watch up as new got me the same results as before. I can't get to any of the installed applications.
So, I've found how to make this work.
Install as a new watch
Skip both the Store and iCloud sign in
After the watch reboots, install the beta profile
After the watch reboots, connect to a wifi
After the watch reboots, go into the watch app on the iPhone and then Settings -> Apple ID and enter the Store ID and then select the iCloud ID. Once it finishes, the apps will download.
