Tried CarPlay in iOS 13 today and everthing else works as described. However, when pressing the steering wheel button for Siri nothing happens. The screen dims slightly as if the Siri animation is starting, but it never appears and sound effect for Siri is missing.
Same issue here. Screen dims as if it wants to do the connection but then stops.
SSame here had it working once turning bt off and back on but stoped again
Just installed beta 2 and Hey, Siri doesn't work on the iPhone - I only get the keyboard option and in CarPlay it's the same as I described above. Oddly it's working for others using iOS 13 beta. Frustrating.
Found the solution. Turn off Type to Siri in the Accessibility, Siri settings.

This was true for me as well.
For me, my solution was to get an optional mic for my navigation system. The mic on the iphone only recognizes "Hey Siri." After that Carplay seems to stop using the mic on the iPhone and requires a mic on the navigation system for voice recognition.
