This is so frustrating, on April's 23, still facing this problem on a Macbook Pro 2020 with Monterey 12.3.1.
I've discovered that using wireless SideCar increases the problem and unplugging the wireless connection or replacing with the use of the cable decreases the behavior. But still happening.
