Same here after the Big Sur update almost everything is lagging, like for simple opening folders or files or unzipping them.
My MacBook is
1) MacBook Air early 2015 model
2) 1.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
3) 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
4) Intel HD graphics 6000 1536 MB
