This one is absolutely a necessity for supporting enterprise clients.
While it would be great for day-one or even day-90 readiness, it's just not always feasible. Too many hats, too many hurdles.

Please fix this. This is not expected behavior if you manage a fleet of Macs.
You can "fix" this by triggering an approval on the iPhone - choose "Deny".Now, try again, and choose "Allow". It should work. Confirmed on two iPhones - 6s and 11 Pro Max.
If you are using a case with bottom edge protection, take it off and test. This "fixed" it for me, but is not an acceptable resolution. This case has been on my 11 Pro Max since day-one, and only this round of betas has caused the echoes...
So, I took off the case on my iPhone 11 Pro Max and the echo is gone. Now, to be clear, this did NOT happen in any prior seeds, so while Apple may say "it's the case" something changed in this cycle to cause it.I temporarily bought a cheap case on Amazon with no bottom protection and it works. This isn't acceptable, and Apple will get a ton of complaints if this is the "fix". My 2¢
I wish. Still broken today on beta 2.
Same on mu iPhone 11 Pro Max (green).Echos on phone speaker only - Mac and HomePod OK.
Same. Didn't get fixed in today's release (01/14/20)Huge bummer.Calls made/taken on HomePod/Mac/Phone internal speaker OK.
Not holding my breathe for SYMC to fix...
