Brand new 27" iMac running Big Sur 11.6 with 40GB RAM, 8-core 3.8GHz processor and having same issue. Bought this computer last week and have only downloaded Adobe Apps and necessary plugins for my video editing work. Had my Dell 1920x1080 monitor plugged in for viewing purposes and it causes a green screen of death and shuts the comptuer down when ever I try and save in Adobe. When I dont have the screen plugged in Adobe works just fine. Even as I type this the computer lag is insanely slow which I have heard is also an issue with Big Sur. This is the most disappointing OS update from Apple ever.
