We delivered a new release a few weeks ago. The var isESIMSupported = CTCellularPlanProvisioning().supportsCellularPlan() is now being executed on a background queue and when no value is returned within 30 seconds we call fatalError. In the organizer do still appear crashes.

I will offer this suggestion to the PO, but I donno if it gets prioritized. But it seems that is the only way to get more information. Also we would still have to crash the app, because the content differs whether the device supports esim or not.
