Thanks for the reply. That issue is not related to mine.

I'm not setting a selection limit, but 1 is the default, so I guess this is my issue. My use case is that the user can only select one photo, but if the user chooses to change the photo I was hoping that preselecting the one they chose before would help them to jump back in where they left off. The bigger problem is that this requirement is unmentioned in the online docs. It would be great to see this page updated to reflect that requirement: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/photokit/phpickerconfiguration
