Accessory Power (Lightning) Voltage
In the Accessory Interface Specification R35, section 25 it is explained that an accessory can draw power from a MFi device through the Accessory Power pin. Table 25-1 shows the voltage range (2.5~4.8V) and maximum allowable current draw (300mA). However, I couldn’t find any section where it is explained how to set this voltage output and if the accessory has control over the voltage setting at all. I'm currently designing a gaming controller for iPhones and I'm planning to draw power from the MFi device by using the Accessory Power. I’d like to make sure that the Accessory Power pin can be set to a fixed voltage over 3.6V (4V is preferred) over an iAP2 command from the accessory to the MFi device. Does anybody know how to set the Accessory Power output voltage? or Where can I find information related to this topic? Thanks.
