What speaks against using the processing power available in an Ipad Pro M1. I am curious why this limitation has been chosen?

that is not the one I was referring to. I am talking about the desktop processing app they were showing in the session. the one you linked is only for taking the photos.
sadly import doesn't work yet on blender, at least not officially. they can export usda and usdc but not import
there is an alpha with USD import: https://builder.blender.org/download/experimental/blender-2.93.0-alpha+usd-importer-T81257-merge.e8306114382b-windows.amd64-release.zip
We are also having this issue on the Xcode Release build.
A re-download like you suggested didn't change anything. Your code samples throw the same errors:
CreatingAPhotogrammetryCommandLineApp/HelloPhotogrammetry/main.swift:18:8: Type 'HelloPhotogrammetry' does not conform to protocol 'Decodable'
Cannot find type 'PhotogrammetrySession' in scope
thank you. filed a bug report.
Yeah. I am sure they are working on a fix for beta5. There is still a lot of warnings related to the new ObjectCaptureSession() we observe in Xcode so I am sure they are working to resolve all these as we speak.
yes. I noticed the same issue. the sample works fine when running on my iPhone 14 Pro Max but on the latest iPad Pro M4 it has the same issue that you are describing.
are these tools officially retired now? and how do we go about this now? Blender doesn't support the same shader graph so there is some textures such as occlusion missing.
furthermore there is swiftUI elements for closing the ARkit view or sharing the file that are inaccessible on my phone due to being too far to the top.
thanks @LiYanan04818 for keeping on this.
I am also curious if this is indeed supported now via iOS18 or this is still unsupported and just mentioned in the comments.
Hopefully someone from Apple can comment on here.
