My device had its logic board and touch ID replaced TWICE because of this issue (for free). On the first time, they tried updating and found that it made the board unusable so they immediately ordered a new set. On the second time the technician didn’t update the OS from factory, and I have to manually flash 12.2.1 through DFU.
