The impact of "private relay" on government applications
One of the end user identification methods currently used by our government is mobile identification. During this verification process, the user will connect to the carrier through the 4G/5G network for source IP verification to confirm whether the user is a SIM card holder(SIM card and IP are bound). The major carriers in our country have implemented this feature. Such as tax refund, pre-order masks online and other goverment applications will be used. If the new feature of iOS 15 "Privacy Releay" is enabled, the above method will become invalid. Because the user's source IP cannot be obtained by the carrier, the carrier cannot further confirm the user's identity. Is there a feasible way besides guiding the user to temporarily turn off this function?
