Great visualization! Yes, indeed Module Verifier is the biggest issue... it seems like a random factor... Apple please fix, thanks :D As you can see below we disabled it for Debug builds :)

@Arnonymous I'm wondering if this is related to Xcode 16, macOS 15 Sequoia or a combo!? With macOS 15 Sequoia I have also experienced poor disk i/o performance in other apps. Are you using Xcode 16 on macOS 14 or 15?

Thanks a lot for pointing out the relation to Run Scripts that runs unconditionally. And yes, we have some of that. Was just impossible for us to understand the link to module verifier freaking out 😅 And also noted the issue with supported languages...
