Any plans on fixing safari and web apps on iOS?
I've been struggling with iOS for years. The support for modern web technologies is terrible, and it's insanely full of bugs. Heck, even IE6 was a better experience back in the days. Some of the most basic bugs that are discovered within a minute during testing: Freezing: Add, e.g. airhorner.com to the home screen Open it, click it, it works, fine. Go to the home screen, wait 10 seconds. Open it, try to use it. Congratulations, the web view is frozen. Scrolling: Add a scrollable div matching the body size. Scroll to the bottom of the div. Wait for the animation to stop. Scroll down, and then try to scroll back up immediately. The browser will attempt to scroll the body where there is nothing to scroll instead of the scrollable div. And when you scroll up before the stupid animation has stopped, then it attempts to scroll the body too, cutting off content. At least tens of thousands of developers are using hacky solutions(e.g. https://github.com/willmcpo/body-scroll-lock )in an attempt to make the insanely messed up scroll behaviour somewhat sensible. What the hell is going on, how can stuff be this broken for so many years? Is this done on purpose by Apple or what? Any plans on fixing this?
