Tried this, lets see what happens. "pmset -g sched" only shows the sleep event, not the wakeup. Is that correct? Does not seem correct, but what do I know....

Sorry to say that all fixes proposed in this thread work, until I close the lid on my MacBook. At that point something gets "powerd" very mad and it starts sucking resources about 5-10 minutes after the MacBook was closed.
"[0] wake at 04/12/62 01:47:16 by 'com.apple.alarm.user-visible-com.apple.email.SendLaterDelivery' User visible: true" this is what appears after typing "pmset -g sched" in the terminal.
"pmset schedule cancelall" does work, but only until the lid is closed.
Don't want to burst you bubble, but I was there!!! After closing the lid on my MacBook and waiting a while, "powerd" will be back!! Seems to only come back after "sleeping", not when you just turn of your MacBook and restart it.
"PhotoshopUK", as you might have read above, for a lot of people that only worked till the next time you close the lid on your MacBook. Don't know what happens when your 27" is sent to sleep. I assume same problem? "sudo pmset schedule cancelall" is not a permanent fix for most of us!!
Be happy if it went away permanently, but do not hold your breath...
