This is really dissapointing, our animation starts and loops automatically and the time slider is not necessary. We're making an app for kids and taking a photo with your favorite TV star would be a crucial use case for us. Any way to get around this besides restricting the animation to below 10 seconds?

Hey, same problem here, I have a really hard time to reproduce this bug. I'm using Unity and our Museum IPad App uses the same pattern with an Idlescreen. I'm deactivating the ARSession Object when the Idlescreen is active but on some devices some times, the ARSession is not waking back up (or some subsystem? Couldnt reproduce so no chance to debug).
Did you found anything useful or a solution to this problem? Is it maybe even a system bug and an IOS Update helps?
We changed our bundle identifier in the plist file from "countryshortcode.companyname.appidentier" to only "appidentifier" and now it works on IOS 16 as well.
