I fail to comprehend the rationale behind the decision to discontinue support for Intel-based Macs in VisionOS development. This measure appears to compel individuals to acquire unnecessary hardware solely for the purpose of pursuing their desired app development, while rendering perfectly functional machines as obsolete. I must emphasize that these machines operate flawlessly.
It is imperative to acknowledge that not everyone possesses the financial means to procure a new Mac, as these devices come at a substantial cost. As an individual with three children, I am currently unable to afford another Mac, particularly considering that my current device is a mere three years old. Where do your principles of inclusivity stand in this situation? By denying individuals who are not financially privileged the opportunity to become developers for an innovative Apple product, a sense of injustice pervades.
Dear Apple, please grant us access to the VisionOS Simulator on our existing machines and allow us to independently decide whether it is necessary to upgrade our hardware. This decision should be within our purview, not dictated by external forces. I beseech you to reinstate the VisionOS Simulator and afford us the autonomy to make our own choices.
