I have the same problem. How do I upload a file to icloud in finder period? I made the mistake of dragging the icloud folder from within finder back onto my desktop, and now I have a local copy of my icloud folder on my desktop, but I have completely lost the ability to upload anything to icloud with out going through a web browser... This sucks :(
