This is the response I got from Alpine.
Thank you for contacting us and sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties with your CarPlay connection. We are seeing reports of this across the UK and Europe, it seems something has changed with the wireless CarPlay connection from Friday 20/5/22 and unfortunately this prevents a successful connection both by wireless and cable with any unit that supports both wireless and wired CP.
Up until this point, wireless CarPlay was functioning fine with the iLX-705D, iLX-F905D & iLX-F115D. I'm hearing of various iPhone models that have stopped working, it's not related to the iPhone iOS version or the firmware version on your Alpine unit.
This is now the third time this has occurred this year, in the 2 previous instances the connection just started working after around 1 week with no action from Alpine software or Apple iOS update, it was resolved over the air by Apple, I expect the same to occur again this time around. Customers reported that it just started working again with nothing being done. It seems Apple have the ability to make CarPlay changes without us being aware.
In the background, the development team is investigating the cause so we can better understand if this happens again in the future.
So in short regretfully there is nothing that can be done now, we need to sit back and wait for Apple to resolve this. I will be checking my iPhone on a daily basis with one of our new wireless units.
