We have developed an application that allows people to test their hearing. So we need to be able to control the volume of iPads. We do this by running a script that adjusts the iPad's volume.
The problem is, with the latest iOS, every time the code runs that (if required) adjusts the iPad volume, the volume icon/control pops up - right in the middle of the screen.
It even appears when there has been NO CHANGE to the volume level. It is EXTREMELY annoying and confusing to users. This has only started happening in iOS11. Before then, the volume pop-up would only appear when the volume was altered. I have no idea why they would change this!?!
