Application Loader - General Error

So I cannot log in to the Application Loader and I only get "general error" which is really nothing to go on.

I've tried launching it from two different computers, both running El Capitan. I've tried launching the stand alone app, I've tried downloading an older version and I've tried launching it from Xcode. Nothing works.


I have never opened the program before so it should be clean and my account has the correct membership in iTunes Connect.


Do anyone have anything left for me to try?

This is a known issue impacting an unknown number of developers.


I've had this problem for four weeks but it hit Daniel Jalkut recently and he blogged about it:

I've been in touch with Apple about it. It's as known issue that is being worked on. There is no current fix. The workaround is to create another Apple ID, give it admin on the team and use that.


Yes, it's unfortunate. It seems there's something going on with an unknown number of Apple IDs - doesn't matter what machine I try to login from, one Apple ID continues to fail in this manner and has since December.
