eGPU HDMI Refresh Rate

Question

Has anyone found a solution to increase the refresh rate out of the eGPU beyond 30hz on HDMI?

Spec:

LG 38UC99-W

3840 x 1600
HDMI 2.0

Radeon RX 580 8GB

This only seems to be a problem in MacOS. Bootcamp Win10 doesn't have this issue.
