Per App VPN with AirPrint

I'm trying to confirm whether or not the combination of a Per App VPN configuration (delivered via Configuration Profiles) are compatible with AirPrint. In this specific case, the AirPrint end point will be accessible via port 631, but we want to limit access only via the VPN when users are off network.


Will the users be able to access the core OS AirPrint features if the VPN has been triggered for a specific application?

AFAIK, the only requirements are an airprint capable printer and that both the printer and the device are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Any chance you made any traction here? I need to use airprint over a tunneled connection but it needs to work with a per app vpn connection setup.
