Auto-renew rejected when app has cloud costs

Submitted our secure cloud storage app to apple, and it got rejected because of what they claim to be an invalid subscription model. We offer unlimited cloud storage, but obviously the storage itself costs us a good amount of money on a monthly basis.

We appealed to apple and explained our use case in detail, as well as mentioning other similar apps in the app store with very similar business models, and are approved.

To our surprise, when we submitted an appeal, it was rejected within 10 minutes. It looks like they didn't even read what we put in our appeal.

Instead of an explanation we got the following. Does anyone have any recommendations on what we should do? They're obviously not understanding how storage apps work.

Guideline 3.1.2 - Business - Payments - Subscriptions

Your app uses auto-renewing subscriptions, but it is not an appropriate use of the service.

Next Steps

To resolve this issue, please change your in-app purchase product to a non-renewing subscription.

Note: The product type cannot be changed once an in-app purchase product has been created. Therefore, you will need to create a new in-app purchase product with the correct product type.

To create new in-app purchases:

- Log in to iTunes Connect

- Click on "My Apps"

- Select your app

- Click on "Features" to create new in-app purchases

- Click Save

- Once you've completed all changes, click the "Submit for Review" button at the top of the App Version Information page.

Is there some reason you don't want to do N-RSs?
