XCode 9.1 - Error while trying to debug ios 11.1.2 on iphone 7 plus

HI

When I try to debug on iphone 7 plus, I get the following error.

This iPhone 7 Plus (Model 1661, 1784, 1785, 1786) is running iOS 11.1.2 (15B202), which may not be supported by this version of Xcode.

Where can I get the device support files. Does upgrading to Xcode 9.1 solve this problem ?

Regards

Vidya.

Hi,

Im running XCode 9.1 (9B55) store version

I update my devices to iOS 11.2, and now I have the same problem !

So XCode 9.1 will probably not solve your problem !

Yep, I just updated to ios 11.2 on a brand new iPad Pro and I now cannot build anything in xcode 9.1.

No xcode updates are available from Apple to fix this, at least I could not find it.

Apple is really slipping, they fix a foolish ios bug and then the disable all development from ourside vendors, introducing yet another problem. Seems the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. I miss Steve.

There is always a delay with release versions of Xcode when iOS is updated faster.

If Xcode v9.1 doesn't offer to download symbols from your device using iOS 11.2, then you can try the latest beta Xcode 9.2 - just keep in mind you can't use beta tools for builds uploaded to the App Store for distribution.
