App Store last updated incorrect - shows recent for old versions

Noticed today App Store is showing, under the Whats New or Version History sections, updates from today even though no metadata updates have been submitted. This is showing even for version going back years. Looks to be affecting all apps from my quick inspection. Maybe Apple has done something accidental here? Anyone else seeing this? Have customers of my app reporting this and have noticed myself looking around random apps on the Store, not just my apps

Some of my old apps have been updated as well, in the update section of the App Store it says “This update is signed with Apples latest signing certificate. No new features are included.”

interesting. That would make sense if they had to do that. none of the apps im seeing say that even though they still show recent updates for multiple versions new and old, whicih obvioulsy cant be possible. i'll keep an eye out for Apple changing the text
