72 hours seems very long. Usually it takes less than a day (sometimes even just a few hours).

Let me rephrase that -- it usually takes a day or less for an app to be visible in the App Store AFTER the app has been approved by Apple. Don't look for it on the App Store until after the app has been moved to the "Ready For Sale" state.
