5.1 Mode in Apple TV with a Stereo Game?

Hi there,


I'm an audio director developing a game in unity to be released on Apple TV. Our Team has decided not to support 5.1 Surround. Our game will be Stereo only.


If a consumer chooses the 5.1 Surround setting with their apple TV, what is the expected result for all speakers that aren't L and R Speakers?


Will they be silent?

That would be center and sub.


None of the speakers will be silent. 5.1 converts.


Try for yourself - Alliance: Air War, as an example, is stereo, but sounds great on ATV4 configured for 5.1
