Remove the Native App from All Customer's iPhone

I have a native app which is in market for last few years and many people have downloaded on their iPhone. I have removed the app from app store and its not available for customers to download. How can I remove the app from existing customer's iPhone?


Shouldn't apple automatically remove those apps which are no longer available in App store?


Any help/response will be appreciated.

Replies

Those apps belong to the users, regardless of their app store status. You can't take them back or remove them. The only component under the dev's control would be a remote/backend service.

I certainly hope not.


Do you use software on computers or mobile devices? How would you like it to vanish outside of your control?
