Devices with iOS 11.1 not supported by Xcode 9.2 Beta

One of my devices is already running iOS 11.2 Beta, therefore I've also installed the XCode 9.2 Beta, which is required for devices with iOS 11.2. But it seems that XCode 9.2 is no longer able to run/debug Apps on my iPad Air 2 with iOS 11.1 (the latest public iOS release). It does still work with devices running iOS 10, 9 or 8.

For my iPad Air 2 I get the following error in the "Devices & Simulator" window of XCode:

Could not locate device support files. This iPad Air 2 (Model A1567) is running iOS 11.1 (15B93), which may not be supported by this version of Xcode.

In the past I had never any issue when running/debugging Apps on devices with older iOS releases. Is there a way to make XCode 9.2 Beta to work with iOS 11.1 as well? How?
