10.13.1 beta 5 fails to boot

Have an odd one here. Beta 4 was just fine, but when I pushed in beta 5 my system white screens without any boot options. Option doesn't give me bootable drives, cmd-s doesn't give me single user mode. cmd-v doesn't boot verbosely. Pusing the power button on my older Mac Pro just powers off so I can tell the kernel's not even bootstrapping at this point.

Note also that `cmd-opt-p-r` doesn't seem to trigger NVRAM reset and holding the power button in does trigger the update blink and sound, but nothing happens.

I have been having the same problem. Even cmd+R does NOT bring up recovery disk/mode into play. After several attempts at single user mode, cmd+s, it finally seems to have sorted and able to login. The only thing I did different in cmd+s than earlier, was I didn't run fsck. Instead just /sbin/mount -uw /, and then reboot/exit. Weird that it worked twice; but if I used fsck first, then on reboot, would again come to white screen.
