Phase release feature released more than the rollout percentage

Hi all,

I found if the latest version session percentage (based on analytics data) is more than rollout percentage settings of app store (for example we pause rollout percentage at 2%, but the session with latest version keep growing to 40% of our total session). Is it normal things?

Thank you,

Ariel

I have seen the same thing using phased release even over the last month (note your post was a year ago).

WIth the phased release paused in the first 24 hours at 1%, upgrades to existing users continue to happen. I understood that new downloads from the app store would happen for this new app version, but I expected auto updates and app update notifications to be paused when the phased release pause was in effect. That does not seem to be the case both from observations and Sales Summary Reports.

That's right Jeffrey. Though you pause it, user can go to Appstore app to get the update manually. Phased rollout just doesn't show up a badge I believe.
