Will there be extra documentation provided to assist with implementing Airplay 2?

I'm currently trying to implement Airplay 2 using AVRoutePickerView and AVRouteDetector. There is a lack of documention on how to set up the AVRouteDetector to detect whether there are routes available. Can anyone suggest any help , or perhaps provide better documentation?
