NSLinguisticTagger in iOS 11 skips all emoji?

Unlike previous versions, NSLinguisticTagger in iOS 11 seems to simply skip all emoji. Is this the new intentional behavior?

The difference seems to be that iOS 11 now correctly (?) treats the omitOther option.
