Remote access via Apple TV isn’t working.

I have Apple TV 4 as the hub for my HomeKit device Friday door lock. The door lock communicates with my Apple TV and shows up in the Home app. All fine, but when I leave my house i Looks the connection to the door lock meaning Apple TV will not access the door lock. Any suggestion for me.
