At the September 12 unveiling event, Phil Schiller's presentation of the iPhone 8's camera included a slide (*) stating
"Cameras calibrated for AR".

Does this imply the new models' camera intrinsics / lens distortion characteristics are individually factory-calibrated?
If not, what exactly is meant by "calibrated for AR"...?
