Personal hotspot failing IOS11

I’ve started using IOS11 as of today on both my iPhone 6S plus and my iPad mini 2. It now seems that my personal hotspot from my iPhone tonmy iPad is having serious issues staying connect. Although having both devices well within range the connection seems drop when locking my phone, it cannot connect when my phone is locked either and when connected, it shows a connection on my iPhone but the connection has already dropped on the iPad. Anyone any suggestions? This problem was not present before switching over to ios11.

Similar problems for me. The problem has persisted through the betas and into the general release. I have to toggle the Personal Hotspot from ON to OFF to ON for it to appear as a selectable Wi-Fi network on any of my other iOS devices (both on iOS 10 and 11). Apple Support has not been able to help. Last recommendation was to do a factory reset on my iPhone. Haven’t taken that step yet. FWIW, my cell carrier is AT&T

As iOS 11 is now public, user-centric queries/comments such as this are perhaps best put to Apple's public community support forums, run by AppleCare, and/or Apple's twitter support account, vs. risking off-topic here in the DevForums, thanks and good luck.
