Reading Safari's History or ReadingList

Is there a Mac App Store approved way of obtaining the Safari history URLs or ReadingList URLs?

No. Normally I’d suggest that you file an enhancement request but in this case it’s hard to imagine such an API ever being compatible with the platform’s privacy goals.

What goals specifically prevent this?

A user is running software; the software makes it clear that facilitating the user's intent to use their own Safari history to explore / retrieve information.

The software prompts the user after the user intiates action button 'Explore Browser History'.

The user has the intention of exploring their own meta-data.

How has allowing the user the ability to examine their own meta-data become an intrusion into their own privacy on a machine that they own?

Does this not seem a little too much?

I cannot use this compter like a computer any more.....

OK then. I recommend that you put your justification in an enhancement request because that’s the way to get it in front of folks who have the power to enact change.
