It looks to me like the wrong sample code was included in the WWDC 2017 sample code for this session, 505.
I can find two sample projects:
1) The photo filler sample app, which is mentioned in 505 (good): https://developer.apple.com/sample-code/wwdc/2017/Creating-Large-Photo-Libraries-for-Testing.zip
2) The "ExampleappusingPhotosframework" app, which is NOT mentioned in 505 (bad): https://developer.apple.com/library/content/samplecode/UsingPhotosFramework/ExampleappusingPhotosframework.zip
--> This was last updated in February 2017, which is well before WWDC 2017. So I think this is old code that wrongly got included.
Nowhere can I find the sample code mentioned in Session 505 by Andreas Karlsson (middle segment of 505). I am after the AnimatedImageView and AnimatedImage classes.
Please Apple can you fix this, if this is correct? Or point me to the AnimatedImage* sample code...
I'm not sure it's a "bug" but if I get no response then yes, i'll do that.
I see that Google has a cached version here, but the link is dead.
Perhaps Apple removed this intentionally?
-> points to:
... which is dead.
>Perhaps Apple removed this intentionally?
Perhaps, but you can still use the bug reporter to express your needs, maybe get them to bring it back, etc.
Good luck in any case.
Ah, turns out Google has at least cached versions of the files.
I'm not sure if i'm allowed to link to them and don't wanna get spanked... I googled for "shared/animatedimageview sample app" and "shared/animatedimage sample app" and got cached copies
No idea if Apple intentionally took them down or not. I presume not.
