"Smile to Unlock" feature for Face ID

Hi All,

Very much excited about the Face ID feature that was announced last week and again Apple has raised the bar to greater heights. Glad that Face ID will make it more secure than the Touch ID option however, was thinking why shouldn't there be a "Smile to Unlock" option also made available. Users should be able to set up the Face ID with their regular smile patterns and phone should be unlocked only when they smile.

I am reminded of babies - they look beautiful because they smile a lot. Mobile phone has become an unavoidable companion and on an average any person might be unlocking the phone at least 15 times in a day. It starts right from morning - when the mobile alarm wakes you up and wanting to sleep - you stop it, having quickly realized you have set another one that would go off in next 5 minutes - you still have to smile for unlocking the phone; making you smile even in lazy/difficult situations. This feature will make people smile throughout their busy schedules and the device ensures the Owner has their share of laughs every single day. Smile, apart from the positive environment it creates also has some great health benefits - promotes anti-ageing & reduces stress.

This feature would also act as an extra layer of security to Face ID, say you are tied to a chair and a crook is trying to gain access by holding the phone against your face - it wouldn't unlock (unless they try to tickle & you give in 😉).

If materialized & be marketed in an excellent way, for sure this would become a killer feature and Users would simply love it.

Please share your thoughts and comments.
