Will AR kit work on iPad 2017?

I am considering purchasing a iPad 9.7 2017 model since my iPhone 6 can't run AR Kit applications. What limitations I can expect developing AR Kit application on iPad 2017? Will I be able to test Face Tracking apps using AR kit and iPad 2017?

Hard to tell exactly what that listing is, but if the device has an A9 processor then it will be able to run ARKit apps that use the rear-facing camera.

For Face Tracking you would need an iPhone X.
