Refunds on in-app currency

Hi,

In our app we sell in-app currency with which other products can then be bought. Currently we follow the advice that all refund requests should be directed to Apple. However since we are not notified of these requests users are presumably left with both the refund and the in-app currency remaining on their account. Something for nothing.

If I am just ignorant to a method in which an Apple refund will also remove the benfits gained from the in-app currency, please enlighten me?

This still leads further with what if the in-app currency has been spent before the refund is requested. Apple don't have access to this level of our user's accounts, yet we could track this and remove the benefits.

We ideally would like to deal with the refund process ourselves for these reasons but we are completely in the dark as to how to do this.

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks.

Apple rarely grants a request for a refund for a consumable IAP.
