Just installed the Server 5.4 Beta and noticed there is no Open Directory pane. Is this documented anywhere? I see documentation about network home folders on this beta build, but nothing about Open Directory.
Is it dead?
In the View menu, under advanced, you should see "Open Directory".
When I did an upgrade to server that had opendirectory it was there.
When I do a clean install it is not one of the options under Advanced?
When I did a clean install, Open Directory is not listed in the Advanced section. It is not listed at all.
This is no longer there in Server 5.4 Beta 4 or 5
(also documented missing items are Caching and File Sharing)
Can you confirm if this has been kill Arek? I find it odd that it's not a documented change on the release notes. "Open Directory"...heck..."open" doesn't appear on the release notes.
If you click on the view menu in the menubar at the top of the screen, Open Directory is an item under the Advanced section in the view menu. Clicking on it returns the Open Directory option to the sidebar is Server.app. Assuming this is just a bug, but Apple’s support articles for Server.app are just awful, so it’s hard to know for sure.
