We would like to implement HTTP Live Streaming into our application. But the lowest available stream we currently have is 400 kbps. When reading the App Store Review Guidelines we noticed this requirement:
2.5.7 Video streaming content over a cellular network longer than 10 minutes must use HTTP Live Streaming and include a baseline 192 kbps HTTP Live stream.
So when we don't allow our content to be streamed over cellular there would be no problem for us? We're currently unable to find any furhter information on this when looking through the HLS Authoring specifications.
That's right. As long as you don't provide playback over cellular there is no requirement.
