I need to download some earlier versions of OS X in order to test my application. Does anyone know where these can be obtained?
The standard download resource (<https://developer.apple.com/downloads/>) has a few updates, but OS X 10.6 is the last full OS installer I can find. And, of course, I can't find them on the App Store either.
OK, I discovered that if I go into the App Store and dig through my purchaces, I can re-download the OS X 10.7, 10.8, and 10.9 installers, transfer them to another system, and install them there.
(It's lucky I didn't skip a version!)
For those of us who did not "purchase", how can we get access to the old OS X versions to test apps?
How old? Some (10.5 as an example) are available at the download link mentioned above [ https://developer.apple.com/downloads/ ], others, more recent, can still be purchased from the Apple Store.
