Changes to Developer ID Provisioning Profiles

This thread has been locked by a moderator.

To make managing your Developer ID app easier, newly generated Developer ID Provisioning Profiles are now valid for 18 years from the date of issuance. Apps utilizing a Developer ID provisioning profile can be installed as long as they are signed with a valid Developer ID Application signing certificate and will run uninterrupted as long as the Developer ID Provisioning Profile remains valid.

We recommend that applications dependent upon a Developer ID Provisioning Profile generated prior to February 21, 2017 be updated to include a Developer ID Provisioning Profile with the extended validity period. You can regenerate the Developer ID Provisioning Profile used to build your application using Xcode or in the Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles section of your account. Once your app has been rebuilt using the newer profile, you can release an updated version of your app to your customers to ensure uninterrupted use or you may provide the Developer ID Provisioning Profile itself for users to install.
