Mac App update not reviewed for 25 days.

Hi, our Mac application update has not been reviewed for 8 days now. We have discovered a critical bug in our application, developed and update that fixes this issue and submitted an update (asking for an expedited review that was approved). Could this be some kind of a glitch? When contacting Apple (email/phone) we get a response that everything is normal. Overall we can't get our app update reviewed in over a month now:


We first submitted an update on December 30, 2016 - after waiting till January 17, 2017 (the update wasn't reviewed for more than 2 weeks) we rejected this update thinking that this should be some kind of a glitch (we had translated our application's description to 7 languages and we thought that this could be the problem). As I previously mentioned we have submitted our latest update on Jan 25, 2017 (only English version, no translations) and we are still waiting for it to get in review ("waiting for review").


Is there anything that we could do in this situation? The biggest problem is that users who purchase a buggy version of our app leave bad reviews (which is expected in such situation) on the Mac App store and this really hurts the reputation of our app.

Just a quick update - our expedited review is in "waiting for review" state for 12 days now.

Rejected this update and submitted a new one (with a new version number). Maybe this will help. Will post if our application update is approved.

Quick update - "waiting for review" with a new version number for 2 days now.

Our update is still "waiting for review" - however now it seems clear what was the problem - Apple now requires to answer 10 questions for specific applications in order to start the review process. We have already sent our answers (the same day we received the questions) and hopefully our update will finally be reviewed.

I am having a problem with an iOS app stuck in "processing" for over two weeks. No useful response from Apple at all.

What do you mean with 10 questions?

10 specific questions which gives insight on how the application works (update servers, protocols, etc.)

Quick update, the last time we heard from the review team was February 16, 2017 “Hello, Thank you for providing the information requested about your application.” Since then our application status is still “waiting for review”. So basically we can’t get our app update “in review” since Dec 30, 2016.

Still no news... Multiple calls (>5), multiple emails (>10).

Here’s our experience till now:


  • Phone support - It seems that phone support doesn’t have direct contact with the review team (one of their representatives clearly said me this - we are on the different continent and the most we can do is send an email to the review team).
  • Email support - Standard response emails stating that everything is fine.
  • Resolution center - No response from the app review team.


Did someone have a similar situation to ours? Are there any other ways to reach the app review team apart from https://developer.apple.com/contact/app-store/ and https://developer.apple.com/contact/phone/ ?

When you requested the expedited review, what was the reason you sent to Apple?

Since one of my app was waiting for review for 2 months now..
