"The application "DiskImageMounter.app" can't be opened." -35 - for Time Capsule files - new in Sierra?

I just upgraded from El Capitan to Sierra 10.12.2. Until now I could use finder to open Time Machine sparsebundles on a Time Capsule. Now I get "The application "DiskImageMounter.app" can't be opened." -35. I can still open sparsebundles on directly connected disks.

I have done several tests compaparing 10.12.2 and 10.11.6 on two diffwerent machines using virgin installs.

I am wondering if maybe something changed in Sierra, and if it was intentional.

Same issue, except the number in my case is -36. The sparsebundle is encrypted.

Pretty sure a 36 is a permissions error.

Same isue! This is problem!

Yes, have the same problem on my timecapsule.

You can still mount them with disk utility

I have the same problem with time capsule, error 36 (The application “DiskImageMounter” can’t be opened) since update to 10.12.2 (16C67)

Same here. Anything on this?

Hi,

I've been getting this error too (-36) has anyone found a solution?
